The successful demonstration took place at the <strong data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1009\">IET ACDC International Conference<\/strong>, where researchers showed that HVDC control and converter systems from different suppliers could be connected and operated in a coordinated way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1421\">This development addresses a longstanding technical and commercial challenge in the deployment of offshore HVDC grids.
